A lot more free flowing in terms of movement & position, and there's less focus of what unit types match up against each other. Or at least it seems that way at this point -- before playing.

I think it would be far easier to get new players into Dragon Rampant than HotT too. ;)

ZeroTwentythreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08447858247978320583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6319761734375963722.post-48559950540662040252018-02-25T15:25:34.771-05:002018-02-25T15:25:34.771-05:00I've really enjoyed Dragon Rampant - and any g...I've really enjoyed Dragon Rampant - and any games by Dan Mercy. I am interested to hear your thoughts after you've played a game. It seems very Hordes-of-the-Things-ish to me, but with more toys and less rigid basing system. One thing we did was allow the leader to confer a +1 on activations (as well as +1 to morale rolls) to troops within 12".

As we had been playing a lot of Frostgrave around the time we tried this out, the abstracted magic seemed rather... weak... by comparison, but I got over it... timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09928949644765765070noreply@blogger.com
