As for the game, this sort of scenario takes a lot of tweaks and play-tests to get to work even when the game is being played as intended, getting a solo version that you enjoy make take a few attempts. Sounds like DR may be a little bit AoS, though I've not played either and am heavily biased against the latter of course! ;)Shadespyrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15816797180132586097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6319761734375963722.post-70496014465650038172020-02-03T07:23:00.090-05:002020-02-03T07:23:00.090-05:00Thanks for the insight. That's why I had to let the 3” rule slide to being a 1” rule.ZeroTwentythreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08447858247978320583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6319761734375963722.post-48296417989897580942020-02-03T05:43:03.031-05:002020-02-03T05:43:03.031-05:00I think one problem was your solo rules. You also didn't enforce the 3" separation. This allows you to set up zones of control if you like around units (so the trolls for instance can't then just run past a unit). One other thing to try is to make the trolls Wild Charging (or at least some of them). This means their turn doesn't end if the unit fails its Attack roll. You also have the problem of a very small board. 3' by 3' doesn't give you much opportunity for manouevre. The game is typically played with about 5-7 units per side on a 6 by 4 board.

I like the Lion Rampant engine but you had a perfect storm of problems that didn't really show it off in a good light.

Awesome looking game though!jon1066https://www.blogger.com/profile/00515812511674797170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6319761734375963722.post-41227642979708818072020-02-02T22:37:56.114-05:002020-02-02T22:37:56.114-05:00I’d be interested to know your final verdict of th...I’d be interested to know your final verdict of the rules after a few more games.
